"My husband and I decided to change our birth plan 30 weeks in from a traditional hospital/OBGYN to a birthing center/Midwife. Our Midwife suggested we take classes using the Bradley method. Having only 10 weeks to completely readjust our planning, I was anxious and overwhelmed as to how to proceed forward. Thankfully, we found Bethany and her classes changed our lives. The amount of education we received was priceless. The classes were thorough, encouraging and incredibly informative. It is no exaggeration when I say that as a woman, I learned more about my body and capabilities to deliver naturally in 10 weeks than I had in my whole 25 years of life. The amount of factual and scientific information she teaches will leave you confident to make the highly personal and educated decisions regarding YOUR body and YOUR child. It is also a perk that she is a licensed nurse so she has experience in hospital settings as well. Bethany is also kind and understanding with everyones concerns and questions. Her course gave me the confidence to safely birth the way I wanted to without unnecessary medical interventions. My husband was also confident in the classes as well. Thank you Bethany for sharing your experience, knowledge and education with us who want all we deserve to know for our growing families. I will recommend you to everyone."

"You teach a great class. I am so thankful to have you! I feel like this this is the first time I have relaxed with my clients knowing they are being taught so well. Thank you for all the effort you put into it!"

"I knew before I was pregnant that I needed a doula at my second birth. My first birth did not go as planned, and I was determined things would be different this time. My goal was to have a VBAC and due in large part to the support Bethany provided, I got it!
During our first prenatal visit, she explained her role at the birth and asked me what I needed from her. She was always available via text, phone, or email when I had a concern or question through the rest of my pregnancy. She came to our house for the second prenatal and we talked about what she’d do during labor. After my estimated due date came and went, she gave encouragement and checked in with me often. At 42 + 2 weeks it was finally my birthing time. We had been in contact via text as I started timing contractions in the evening. My husband called her at midnight-ish and she arrived shortly after, with words of encouragement for me through contractions. Once at the hospital, Bethany continued talking me through contractions during check-in. In the delivery room, she encouraged me to change positions and stay upright. The nurse said my cervix was swelling and I had to not bear down (if you have ever felt this urge, you know it is irresistible!). This is when Bethany earned her fee! She helped me breathe and vocalize to let the swelling go down. She continued to encourage during pushing and help me push productively. It seemed like Baby was never going to make it out, but Bethany told me I was doing a great job. I guess I found some stored up energy, because I found the strength to push my baby out! Bethany stayed for a while, snapped some pictures of me with baby, and told me she was proud of me. The entire time Bethany was professional, encouraging of my goals, and supportive of my needs. I couldn't be happier that I chose to hire her for this birth. Should the need arise again, there's no one I’d rather have with me through the childbirth experience."

"We are so grateful to have crossed paths with Bethany through our journey. Bethany taught our class at the birthing center where she provided a lot of information and teachings. When we left each class we were at peace with our decisions and reassured constantly what to do each stage of pregnancy. To help our experience more a blessing, she agreed to be my doula, and words can't even begin to describe the guidance, information, availability, and reassurance Bethany provided. Once contractions started, her patience and understanding was so comforting and the repetition of what to do helped my delivery. We will forever be grateful for the impact Bethany has been through the pregnancy and delivery. If you are deciding on having a doula, I highly recommend Bethany!!!!"

"You are awesome. I am so glad we took your class. I wish you had been my doula years ago. I cannot say enough good things about the placenta pills. You are a blessing to many!"

"I've gotten to see a few of my birth photos. The one that really speaks to what it meant to have Bethany there was where my husband is helping me and Bethany is in the background ready with a cool washcloth. She not only helped me, but helped my husband be a part of making me more comfortable. Besides the pain, she made having a baby fun. I really didn't know what to expect in hiring a Doula, but there is a good chance we would have been in surgery had we not hired her. Truly. We made some sacrifices financially to hire her, but they were well worth it to have our sweet daughter come into the world the way we hoped. We are so very grateful to have her in our life."

"My daughter hated being in the car. It would take me an hour and fifteen minutes to drive 3 miles. Bethany came over and showed us what we were doing wrong, what we were doing right, and brainstormed how we could make the car a more enjoyable experience for our daughter, Roen! Even if your baby likes the car I would highly suggest a car seat consultation with her, we learned SO much! I can't sing her praises enough, Bethany was absolutely wonderful!"

"If I can use one word to describe Bethany is THERE. In those very critical moments of my birthing experience, Bethany seamlessly partnered with my husband to coach me. I can still remember her calming words during my excruciating contractions; breathe in, blow it out. Even when I had to be rushed to the ER, Bethany never left my side and for that I am truly thankful. She was more than just my doula, she became my friend."

"On 12/16/14 I had a successful VBAC delivery of my son. Bethany Grannan was my doula and was ESSENTIAL to my success. When I first interviewed Bethany, I knew right away she was a perfect match for my birth plan and exactly what I needed to achieve the birth I wanted. She was a great support in preparing me for my birth. She was very professional, detailed, prepared and knowledgeable. Her presence gave me such confidence in moving forward with my birth plan. I knew with her as my support, alongside my husband, that I would achieve exactly what I wanted from this childbirth experience. The night I went into labor, Bethany answered on the second ring (at midnight). She instructed me on what to do and what to expect. She was readily available when I needed her to come. Upon arriving at the hospital, she knew exactly what to do to comfort me and relieve any anxieties. The hours of labor seemed to fly by. She was by my side and got me through each contraction. I never had to press for my wishes to happen because she was my voice. I never had to address the medical staff, she was my advocate and knew exactly what I wanted and she made sure it happened. Her knowledge of techniques was 100% effective in getting me through an unmedicated labor and delivery. During each contraction it was almost like she was in my head as she would say exactly what I needed to hear to get me through. She picked up on the anxiety I carried from my cesarean with my firstborn and she was able to address it with each contraction, lessening my anxiety and allowing me to focus on successfully birthing my son. Both myself and my husband were absolutely, 100% impressed with her services. If I were asked to critique any one thing that she could have done better/differently during my labor, I would not be able to come up with one thing. She was absolutely PERFECT in every way. I know 100% that she was crucial to my successful unmedicated VBAC. Not only a great support for me, but my husband also."

"Bethany is a pure joy to be around. Her presence is uplifting and her heart is dedicated to this line of work. I can only comment as a fellow doula who would gladly work with Bethany as a back-up doula, something of which I do not take lightly. I am very selective with who I would trust my own clients with, and I know Bethany would hold space and honor my clients the way they need in my absence. I know the dedication she has put forth into studying and learning as much as she can about how to serve women as a Childbirth Educator and as a Doula. Any family would be blessed to have her by their side for either service. She has a heart for VBACs and I am certain she will become the go-to VBAC resource for the DFW area. I am excited to watch her business and passion continue to grow. There aren't many doulas who come into this line of work with the natural talent that Bethany displays. Most doulas take years and many hours of continuing education before they reach the level she is starting at. To say she is an absolute gem is an understatement. I highly recommend Bethany to be a part of your birthing experience. "
