They are probably the best way to save money when your family is growing, to the tune of several thousand dollars! Most cloth diapers fit babies from 8-35 pounds, and if you care for them properly, you can save them and use on future children as well. Read on for my top 5 cloth diaper accessories. 1. Wet bags. You'll want at least two; one to wash and one to use. These also double as wet swimsuit bags! The inner part is waterproof, and your dirty diapers go in there. The handle is useful to attach to your stroller handle. Clean diapers and a package of wipes fit in the outer pocket. Many prints available. 2. Ubbi Diaper Pail and Liners The Ubbi is a modern diaper pail for your nursery, and the liners are reusable. Simply toss them in the wash with your diapers. 3. Diaper Sprayer My husband hooked ours up in less than 20 minutes. We even took it with us when we moved, and re-installed in our new home. Once baby starts formula or table food, you'll need this to spray off the sticky poo into the toilet. 4. Detergent I've tried many different detergents on my own baby's cloth diapers, even those labeled specifically for cloth diapers. Tide Original Powder is the clear winner. It rinses cleanly and is gentle on skin, plus gets everything really clean. 5. Diaper Liners
Once your baby starts formula or anything besides breast milk, these diaper liners come in really handy! Place one in each diaper, and it catches the poop. During the next change, all you have to do is lift the liner and toss it in the toilet to flush.
