2015 was a fantastic year to Birth With Bethany! I served a total of 38 families this year. Most of these families were Bradley Method® students that I've taught, the rest were doula clients. Several of my doula clients were also students of mine! Girls very narrowly outnumbered boys in 2015. All of the actual births I attended as a doula this year were in hospitals.
My students and clients gave birth at Baylor Grapevine, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Denton (aka: Denton Presby), Gentle Beginnings Birth Center in Hurst, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Flower Mound, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Plano (aka: Plano Presby), Dallas Medical Center, All About Babies Birth Center in Argyle, Baylor Dallas, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital of Hurst - Euless - Bedford, Methodist Richardson, Harris Fort Worth with the UNT Midwives, Grapevine Birth Center, Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center of Mattoon/Charleston Illinois, OSF St. Joseph Medical Center of Bloomington Illinois, Centennial Medical Center of Frisco, and a few more students who are waiting for their 2016 babies to be born! Not included in my total number are the multiple car seat checks, all but two of those have been 100% volunteer via car seat check stations in Dallas and Plano that I've worked. In one day in Dallas alone, we replaced 52 car seats. It is realistic to say that we saved 52 lives that day. WOW. It's been an exciting year of learning and growth. I'm so excited to continue building my business, thanks to the feedback and referrals from my clients and students. Thank you all, and have a happy and healthy 2016!
